Instructions:

Install

• Note: JAVA_HOME system variable should point to a Java distribution with a minimum version of 17.
  • Unzip the downloaded archive.
  • Move the extracted oxygen-publishing-engine folder to a location of your choice.
  • Open a Command Prompt/Terminal window and change directory to the oxygen-publishing-engine folder.
  • Publish using the oxygen-publishing-engine/bin/dita command.
• Note: To use it from Oxygen XML Editor/Author, go to Options->Preferences->DITA, set the "DITA Open Toolkit" option to 'Custom' and enter the full path of the oxygen-publishing-engine directory. This will ensure that all DITA transformations initiated from Oxygen will use this engine.

Uninstall

• Simply delete the unzipped folder, oxygen-publishing-engine.
