Smart edit in xstl stylesheets based on schema components
Hi, on of the great features of Oxygen is smart edit within xslt scripts based on the structure of document instances. Lets say i have a document instance with root element a and childs b and c. Then, for a template that matches /a, the xslt editor will suggest childs b and c in apply-template rules...

Re: Chaining transformations
Hi Frank,
another possibility would be the use of xproc. As far as i understand, it is designed for the "chaining of transformations", so it should fit to your needs. And it is supported by Oxygen, of course.
Did you ever give it a try?

Frank Steimke

Re: docbook, xhtml and absolute filenames for images
Thanks Radu. I have submitted a bug report. Yes, its true, Entites and DocBook 5 don't go together very well. But after all, this bug does not depend on the use of entities. The stylesheets do not support the syntax with only one slash after the colon for absolute file urls. So there is a good chanc...

Hi, i have a very simple xml document which is valid with respect to a trivial schema. The Schema in RELAX NG compact Syntax defines an element p of type text. An Entity is defined in the internal subset and expanded as expected. When i try to referenceanother entity which is not declared, an error ...

Many Thanks Adrian,
it works. The many different options in catalog files and their use for different purposes always puzzels me.

XML-Catalog and Format and Indent for RELAX NG
Hi, we have written a grammar which extends docbook 5. It starts like this: default namespace db = "http://docbook.org/ns/docbook" include "http://docbook.org/xml/5.0/rng/docbookxi.rnc" { ... } Since we are behind a proxy in our enterprise network, i use a catalog file to redirec...

How to add a java-based action
Hi, we have to extend oxygen with a new, java-based action. I'd like to keep it as simple as possible and need a hint where to start. We have to manage a list of UNICODE Characters together with some properties. We made a simple schema and a document instance, something like this: <characters> <char...

JING says ODF 1.2 Schema has ID-Errors
Hi, i want to play around with Open Document Format 1.2. So i got the OpenDocument-v1.2-os-schema.rng file from OASIS. Validation of this file gives following errors: a "data" or "value" pattern with non-null ID-type must occur as the child of an "attribute" pattern Anf...

base-uri error with nested xincludes

UNICODE Support in internal links
Hi, i am working with docbook. If have an Element with an xml:id Attribute and an xref-Element which linkend-attribute points to this particular id. Customization layer problem. Bug?
Hy, i would like to extend DocBook with elements from another namespace. I have created a RELAX NC grammar like this: namespace cl = "http://osci.bremen.de/publish/codelist" namespace db = "http://docbook.org/ns/docbook" include "http://docbook.org/xml/5.0/rng/docbookxi.rnc&...

Thanks Sorin, it was my fault. Manual for 14.2 clearly states that the hyphenation file has to be placed in {INSTALLATION}/lib/fo Directory. After i did so, everything was fine with the internal FOP engine. I have an oxygen 14.1 installation on another system, and on this system the hyphenation file...

Hi, i have made a fresh installation of version 14.2. I have also copied hyphenation file from offo to C:\Program Files\Oxygen XML Editor 14\lib\fop-hyph.jar However, FOP says ERROR - Couldn't find hyphenation pattern for lang="de". Same for lang='de'. At the end of this mail you can find ...
