Re: "Open With" in Projects
The solution you pointed out in this post has worked great, but I've run into a problem opening just two file types: .xlsx, and .xlsm. I haven't run into any other file type that won't open in it's associated system app, except these. Could you try to duplicate this issue and let me know if you enco...

Re: Tooltips never disappear
The only tooltips I've seen hang are when hovering the mouse over an element tag in the author view. I'll send an example to the support email (I have no way of sharing an image on this forum).

Re: Tooltips never disappear
I am experiencing this problem in Oxygen Editor's author view. I'm not exactly sure how to reproduce it, but I'll be watching closely the next time it happens. It doesn't happen all the time, just every so often throughout any given day. So far as I've seen, it only happens in the author view window...

If you use paragraphs in your topic files, you can apply the same attribute to paragraphs in the file commons-attr.xsl. <xsl:attribute-set name="p" use-attribute-sets="common.block"> <xsl:attribute name="text-indent">0em</xsl:attribute> <xsl:attribute name="keep-to...

Ignore that last sentence - I thought you were referring to something we'd talked about earlier. It's early here - I don't quite have my wits yet.thedantanner wrote: And thanks for the update on the find in files issue. I'll look for it in the next maintenance build.

Within our projects, we have several files that are opened with system applications outside of Oxygen. Access, Excel, various graphic editing programs, for example. I can open these from the project by selecting "open with->system application" from the contextual menu. When I double click ...

Re: How to implement keep-with-next and keep-with-previous
We have accomplished what you are trying to do by applying an attribute to the steps.step attribute set in the task-elements-attr.xml file. Add the attribute keep-together.within-page as shown below. <xsl:attribute-set name="steps.step" use-attribute-sets="ol.li"> <xsl:attribute ...

Disregard! Sorry - disregard this post, I figured it out. It wasn't a problem at all, I had just removed the keys attribute from the wrong set of conref files. That being said, I didn't encounter this problem before version 20. Our conrefs were inserted as conref elements despite having a key defin...

Reusable Components View
Did version 20 change the way in which content references are inserted from the reusable components view? Before version 20, when a conref was inserted from this view, they were inserted as a conref element. Now, they are being inserted as conkeyref elements. This causes our custom PDF transformatio...

Attributes Question
I'm still young to DITA so please forgive this amateur-ish question... I'm wondering if there is an attribute which can be used to store somewhat generic information. Here's what I'm trying to accomplish. If someone knows a good way to accomplish this, please feel free to share. I need to be able to...

Re: Integrator Error Oxygen Version 20
That was my assumption. After hearing back from you, I met with our IT department and found out that they had applied special permissions on our Oxygen 19 directory. I had them do the same to the Oxygen 20 folder, and that did the trick.
Thanks again.

Integrator Error Oxygen Version 20
We are in the process of upgrading to Oxygen version 20, but we've hit a snag. When attempting to run the DITAOT integrator, we're getting an error. The error seems as straight-forward as a permissions error, but we don't encounter the same error in Oxygen 19, so I wonder if something more is happen...

Re: "Getting Started" with Oxygen Projects
Thanks, as always, Radu. Just the simple act of saving the project file in the main repository was enough to get me rolling on creating a new project. As I come discover new things I'm quickly seeing how useful projects are as an organizing platform.

"Getting Started" with Oxygen Projects
Greetings, I'm still something of a newb to Oxygen. I've been using it to author DITA content for about a year now. I'm looking for any advice or tips that anyone could provide me on implementing the use of Projects in Oxygen. I've read all of the documentation in the manual, and I've watched a webi...

I belive you can accomplish this by adding the element: shortdesc after your title.

This also cause some PDF transformation failures. I don't have the error logs to show you, but I'm sure this was causing the failures. Once we fixed it, the transforms went fine. I'll email one of the transformation logs to the support email address.

Re: XML Refactoring Error
I'm not sure how to recreate it, because I've deleted all of the shortcuts (pins) that were messed up. All I can show you is the "reopen" history in Oxygen which shows the file paths. You'll note that the most recent ones have the correct file path, designated by a letter. The ones from ye...

Re: XML Refactoring Error
With the help of our resident IT, this has been solved. Turns out, that WAS the problem. And the reason the path was appearing that way was because I was accessing the repository folder through a shortcut pinned to windows explorer. Somewhere along the line, that pin ended up with that wacky address...

Re: XML Refactoring Error
Could this be the problem? I noticed a while back that our network drives were no longer designated by just a letter. Instead they look like this:
\\JCI-file-01\filedata\Groups\Eng\TechPubs\Repository\topics
Something tells me this might be the source of several of my recent Oxygen headaches.

Add Attributes at File Creation
It would be very convenient (for me anyway) to be able to add certain attributes when creating new files in Oxygen. For example, all of our .XML and .ditamaps files include the attributes: product, revision, and language. We also use custom ID's for each file. Currently, we either have to enter thes...
