Project view auto focus
Hi all, A feature in XML Author 20.1, build 2018080903 that has been bothering me. When I open the project view it auto focuses on the file currently opened in the editor. I don't want that to happen. I've got folder for DITA maps, topics, images, etc. Right now it opens the topic folder (which are ...

Re: Ditaval + subject scheme: automatically filter parent subject
I confirm your findings for (2), not sure if it's on purpose or a side effect of the Subject Scheme filtering support not being fully implemented. Hi Radu, I guess this works as designed. Although I'm interested how you or others would work around this, for those that use a subjectscheme with neste...

Re: Ditaval + subject scheme: automatically filter parent subject
Thanks again for your help Radu. The topicref to the subject scheme map needs to have the attribute type="subjectScheme" set on it otherwise the hierarchical filtering does not work. This is not required by the specification, it is a bug/limitation in the publishing engine. Perfect, includ...

Ditaval + subject scheme: automatically filter parent subject
Hi all, We're a bit stuck when working on a Taxonomy using a subject scheme. To try to understand this I've pulled out some demo data found at https://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/versions/19.0/ug-author/topics/subject-scheme-map.html So the scheme is as follows: <subjectScheme> <subjectdef keys="user...

Hi everyone, What exactly are the possibilties for transforming video content to PDF? On Oxygen's site it states: "On the publishing side, oXygen comes with a DITA-OT plugin that will enable the multimedia content to appear in HTML and PDF output." .mp4 <object> seems to only convert to we...

Extending pdf2 plugin topicmerge
Hey Everyone, Question about how to extend a specific file from the PDF2 plugin: 'org.dita.pdf2\xsl\common\topicmergeImpl.xsl' For the fo XSL files it worked to copy-paste the XSL files from 'org.dita.pdf2\xsl\fo' to 'myplugin\cfg\fo\xsl' and import them in 'myplugin\cfg\fo\xsl\custom.xsl'. Why does...

Re: DITA: Rename/move non-topic files
Hey everyone, I've just watched 'Webinar: Getting started with DITA using oXygen XML Editor' (which was awesome), and discovered the 'Refactoring' -> 'Move Resource' / 'Rename Resource' features. These functions are great, but I noticed it doesn't work for my images resources listed in the project v...

Re: DITA OT Localized Indexes
Hi, I'm not sure this can be done without extensive XSLT customizations. The main XSLT template which gets called to create the index page is called ""createIndex"" and is located in: OXYGEN_INSTALL_DIR\frameworks\dita\DITA-OT\plugins\org.dita.pdf2\xsl\fo\index.xsl Maybe you cou...

DITA OT Localized Indexes
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with the localization of indexes. At the moment I'm working with a DITA bookmap containing 2 languages, English 'en' and Dutch 'nl'. These are set on map and topic levels in xml:lang for each respective language. When running my transformation, a plugin which extends...

Re: Generate DITA XML from ... DITA XML
Hi Jochem, So: 1. How would I achieve dtd specialization in DITA OT 2.0? The dtd folder only holds 'properties.dtd' Usually a proper DITA specialization is wrapped as a DITA Open Toolkit plugin which contributes both the DTDs and the extra catalog entries to the DITA OT. You can find such a sample ...

Re: Generate DITA XML from ... DITA XML
Hi Jochem, You are right, although it can be made to work with DITA OT 1.8 using that fix, it does not properly work, probably it depends on a certain plugin extension which was not available in 1.8. I tested with DITA OT 2.x and it generates topics in the output folder. Regards, Radu Thanks, manag...

Re: Generate DITA XML from ... DITA XML
Hi, My original tests were with DITA OT 2.x. Now I tested the plugin with DITA OT 1.8 and indeed it does not work with it, I added an issue for it + a fix suggestion that you can use on your side to get things going: https://github.com/dita-ot/org.dita.normalize/issues/4 Regards, Radu Ah that expla...

Re: Generate DITA XML from ... DITA XML
You should check that you are running the integrator on the same DITA OT where you placed the plugin (the integrator outputs some information in a console view). Also you should check that the DITA OT you use to publish is the same DITA OT where you installed the plugin. Hey Radu, I've ran several ...

Hi, Sure, I found where that DITA OT plugin I was telling you about was: https://github.com/dita-ot/org.dita.normalize but it's not something bug free from what we tested. Regards, Radu Awesome, thanks :) I'm trying to install the plugin into Oxygen Author 17.1, following the steps described here ....

Generate DITA XML from ... DITA XML
Hey everyone, Perhaps an odd question, but I would like to generate DITA files with a (book)map and a specific profiling set. The reason for this is to provide a 3rd party with DITA files without them having to look through unused profiled content. (They don't work with Oxygen). I've found the tempo...

Re: general DITAVAL exclude hides all elements in Author mode
Hi, The DITA specification states that the profiling attributes should be separated using spaces. You must not change this if you want the publishing to work. So even if Oxygen as an editor will allow you in the Preferences-> Editor / Edit modes / Author / Profiling/Conditional Text page to change ...

Re: general DITAVAL exclude hides all elements in Author mode
Thanks Radu, that does indeed resolve the interface issue. The problem I really was after turns out to be using semicolons (;) as seperator for profiling attributes, which doesnt play nice with multiple attributes. e.g. <ph variant="x;y"> doesnt produce the same as <ph variant="x y&qu...

Re: general DITAVAL exclude hides all elements in Author mode
Hello, Registered to the forums to second the issue from OP and follow up with the following question: Is there a workaround to achieve the 'exclude element unless one or more profiling attribute encountered' that works with Oxygen Author 17? My current solution is using DITAVAL for each specific co...
