Eclipse 3.0 M6, oXygen 3.0 EA, licence expired

Post by Manfred »

Hi,

currently I use Eclipse 3.0 M6. I have purchased a licence with a maintenance pack.

My understanding is that I have to use oXygen 3.0 EA for the M6 release of eclipse. As stated in the installation notes I copied the text (pusblished on http://www.oxygenxml.com/download.html#eclipse) to the licence dialog.

Today when I called oXygen 3.0 EA from within Eclipse I got the following error message: "Thank you for evaluating the <oXygen/> XML editor. The evaluation period is over...".

Please advice how I can use oXygen with Eclipse M6.

Thanks.

Hi Manfred,

I posted a test license that should cover the period until we will release 3.0, see http://www.oxygenxml.com/pipermail/oxyg ... 00094.html . The license is:

Code: Select all

Registration_Name=test
Company=test
Category=Professional
Component=XML-Editor
Version=3
Number_of_Licenses=1
Date=12-17-2003
Duration=31
SGN=MCwCFDsIXtvszkP6aLgUKvuCD6VGiWlwAhRBuLUnz13DBsXkId2leCk/ke2h0g\=\=
The early access version from the download page is for Eclipse M5, for Eclipse M6 we have an early access version as well but it is not published in the download page. You can download the version for Eclipse M6 from:
http://www.oxygenxml.com/download/com.o ... .0.ea2.zip .

Best Regards,

Hi George,

thanks for your answer. I downloaded the EA2 prerelease, entered the licence and all works fine in Eclipse 3.0 M6 :-)

3.0 supports eclipse 3.0m5 ?

Post by jens »

Actually, EA2 does not work with eclipse 3.0m5 :-(

Since m6 seems to be a little bit bogus (i.e. not really usable) will 3.0 support 3.0m5, too ?

BTW: I've the feeling, that all eclipse milestones with 3n numbers are monday releases ... ;-)

Hi Jens,

There is also an ea1 release especially for Eclipse 3.0 M5 available from the download page: http://www.oxygenxml.com/download.html . After your post we made a build target to compile against 3.0 M5 Eclipse jars so oxygen 3.0 will be available also for Eclipse 3.0 M5 but we will not support it, that is we will not solve/work around 3.0 M5 specific problems. In general we will support the latest Eclipse milestone release and the latest Eclipse stable version.

All the best,
George
