0:00:04Oxygen XML Editor 28 adds a new feature that  allows you to review existing references
0:00:09when trying to delete files from a data project,  helping you to avoid having broken references. To
0:00:16demonstrate this, our use case is that we want to  remove a reference to an image that is not needed,
0:00:21and we want to delete the image file to  keep our project organized, but we need to
0:00:26make sure that it's not referenced elsewhere.  Note that for this feature to be available,
0:00:31you must have the main files feature enabled for  your data project. We'll locate the particular
0:00:37image file in our project view. We'll rightclick  and choose delete. Notice that a popup appears and
0:00:45gives you the option to review references.  The found references appear in the results
0:00:51view. Of course, our current topic is listed,  but another as well. So we'll doubleclick it
0:00:58to open that topic. In our case, we determined  that the image is also not needed in this other
0:01:04topic. So we'll remove the reference there and  save. And we'll go back to the original topic
0:01:10and remove it from there as well. And save.  And now we'll go back to the project view,
0:01:16relocate the image file, and attempt to delete it  again. And this time it does not offer the option
0:01:24to review references since none exist. And it  will allow us to delete the file. It's a very
0:01:30impactful feature designed to help you keep your  project organized and without broken references.
