Re: Odd behaviour with Oxygen on Wayland
Hello, We've recently tested Oxygen v26.1 on Ubuntu 24 Desktop but did not observe the described issues. I'd like to point out that from this: 3. Type or use the keyboard: nothing happens in Oxygen, although sometimes another application receives the keyboard events. if the events get to another app...

Re: Installing multiple versions
Hi, Yes, it's still possible. Each version has a separate options file, so there are no conflicts. When running multiple versions at the same time, just make sure you're not editing the same files, especially the project file (Window > Show view >Project). If you need to work on the same project, du...

Re: Transformation scenario that prompts user to select file
Hello, There's no way to configure it to prompt for a file, but note that you don't have to open the file itself in an editor to transform it. All you have to do is link the file or its parent folder In the Project view ( Window > Show view > Project ), then you can right click on the file from the ...

Hello, v24.0 is no longer maintained or supported. It has been replaced by v24.1 (free upgrade from v24.0). I can't reproduce the issue with v24.1. You can find the latest maintenance update of v24.1 here: https://www.oxygenxml.com/php/download_product.html?product=editor&version=24.1 Regards, A...

Hi, What my colleague is asking is what keyboard layout setting (and perhaps input method) are you using in Linux Mint (OS setting): https://divvun.no/no/keyboards/userdocs/linux/EnableKeyboardsInLinuxMint.html From what you're describing it seems to be a composite input method which isn't recognize...

Hello, Unfortunately Java doesn't currently provide proper Wayland desktop support. There is an ongoing project regarding this, OpenJDK Project Wakefield . This is the most recent info I can find regarding this project: https://inside.java/2024/03/24/openjdk-wakefield/ In the meantime, do note that ...

Hi,
If you hover the mouse pointer over the field, you should get a popup with indications.
It's a comma separated list.
e.g.
.DS_Store,thumbs.db

Hi, Currently Oxygen should work fine out-of-the-box with the default/detected scaling. Have you tried it without the forced scaling? If you already did, what was wrong with it? Regarding your tweaks, first I'd like to point out that you should only use the Windows Properties > Compatibility setting...

Re: Oxygen on a Pi4B with Fedora 38
Hi, We've only tried Oxygen v24 on Raspberry Pi OS (Raspbian) with Java 8/11 and it was usable on a Raspberry Pi 4B with 4GB RAM. This was in 2022. Do note that it's not something that we officially support, but it does work. Technically I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work on Fedora 38 with ...

Re: Lose window focus - can't edit text after search
Hello, But it confuses me that it only occurs when I search in the file. That means it is probably triggered by the Find window which has the specific of being non-modal (allows focus in main window). Oxygen is a Java application, it doesn't control window focus implementation other than giving focu...

Re: regex not selecting last end of line
Hi, I don't see a problem with the regex, it should also match the line break after the closing row tag. In Oxygen the line breaks in XML are strictly \n (a single whitespace). You may want to also add ^\s* in front, so that it consumes the indent in front of the row start tag. Perhaps that's what y...

Re: Documentation statement about required Java version
Hi Yves,
I've logged this for our documentation department.
We were initially using OpenJDK from Oracle (up to 17.0.2/Oxygen v24.1), but have switched to Eclipse Adoptium (Temurin) since v25.0, the reason being LTS for Java 17.
Thanks,
Adrian

Re: Is it possible to add some parameters for automatic cache release from idle tabs in oxygen xml editor and a button
Hi, By default, on Windows, Oxygen limits the Java heap memory to 4000MB (-Xmx4000m). This is sufficient for most users. Java needs a reasonable heap limit (not your entire free system memory), otherwise due to the lazy garbage collection it will allocate all the memory that it is allowed to use as ...

Re: Is it possible to add some parameters for automatic cache release from idle tabs in oxygen xml editor and a button
Hi, I've logged your suggestion on our issue tracking tool. For future reference it is issue EXM-53889. Oxygen already has what we call "lazy editors", editors whose content has not been loaded, even though they were left opened since the previous session. By design these are only loaded w...

Hello, Have you tested with a different application, if opening and saving files from that synchronized folder is affected?
