Re: Not a Problem, But an HTML and PDF Publishing Question
Thank you Julien, I will try that! My fundamental problem seems to be that the "footer" does not stick to the bottom of the page, it seems to appear directly under the previous content. Is there any "trick" to making sure the footer stays on the bottom of the page when the page h...

Re: Custom Footnotes Issue
Hi Dan, unfortunately this is publishing same as before I made these changes, with the footnotes on the bottom. No worries, I am going to abandon this effort. I will add this to the requested new features section so you can develop and test it in house and hopefully add it to the styles basket as an...

Not a Problem, But an HTML and PDF Publishing Question
Hello again, I have a question I was hoping your could help with regarding publishing HTML to PDF. The source file is an HTML file, and I have an accompanying PDF file. Does Oxygen have the capability to produce a PDF from HTML if the source is not DITA XML? I am using these files (see attached .zip...

Re: One Item Bolded Bolds Entire Paragraph
Hi Dan, I have not had the opportunity to apply your solution yet, but it is high on my to-do list, I appreciate you getting that to me. Unfortunately, working for a large company with our IT security policy, I cannot install a new build myself...in fact, we are still stuck on v24. Is there a major ...

Re: Custom Footnotes Issue
Hello, I also noticed that when Julien added a counter reset for the table footnotes, it resets the counter in the list below the table, but does not reset the counter for the footnote calls in the table. Is it possible to add some code to reset the footnote calls inside the table as well to match? ...

Custom Footnotes Issue
Hello, I am moving this thread from the DITA Publishing section to here. Here is the original thread: https://www.oxygenxml.com/forum/dita-editing-and-publishing-dita-content/topic23557.html Julien was kind enough to provide some xslt and custom css to move the footnotes from the bottom of the page ...

One Item Bolded Bolds Entire Paragraph
Good morning, I have an issue in a DITA file where I bold one or two words, and the whole paragraph gets bolded: Screen Shot 2022-07-30 at 7.03.51 AM.png For example, I bolded 'Electronic News' only and the whole paragraph gets bolded. Same as all the others. <conbody> <section><p>Communications wit...

Re: Footnotes Related to Tables in PDF Documents
Hi Julien, thank you. In the XSLT you provided, the footnote calls in tables are being formatted as hyperlinks with the text decoration (blue, underline). Will this css entry override that? When I deleted that part of the XSLT you provided (the part that converted the footnote calls to links), I now...

Re: Footnotes Related to Tables in PDF Documents
So I updated my footnotes to add cross-references for the <fn> elements that had id attributes set on them. When I ran it using the default transform I got this (a single instance): image.png When I ran it with the code that Julien provided above to place the footnotes under the table rather than at...

Re: Footnotes Related to Tables in PDF Documents
Interesting…so you have to write the fn, then you have to reference it…seems redundant, but I understand,
We actually use a different extend-script based process through FrameMaker for our flight manuals written in DITA that publishes the use-by reference.
Thanks for clearing that up!

Re: Footnotes Related to Tables in PDF Documents
Apologies for continuing to add to this post...but I discovered a problem. I structured my footnotes according to this reference: https://www.oxygenxml.com/dita/1.3/specs/langRef/base/fn.html But, when I add an id attribute to the first instance of a fn, it does not put the footnote call in the tabl...

Re: Footnotes Related to Tables in PDF Documents
Also please notice that footnotes that are second, third, etc. instances of a footnote in a table are structured as <xref> to the original <fn> element to avoid duplication with a type="fn" but they are showing up formatted as hyperlinks because they are xrefs. Is there a way to prevent <x...

PDF Page Numbers Restart at One in Each Chapter
Hello, Sorry for another question! My page numbers are starting over at 1 in each chapter. I am trying to figure out where in the css this is controlled. Hello, I used Oxygen Styles Basket to create my template and styles. I uploaded an svg to the Styles Basket for the cover. When I downloaded the template and css, the image was named cover.svg. Re: No Bold in PDF using HTML with CSS
Hello, thanks for your reply. I selected Emulate Print both in Edge and Firefox. The browser still shows bold and here is what the inspect pane shows. I had even created a class .b {font-weight: 800;} in my custom css. That didn't seem to do anything in the print version.

No Bold in PDF using HTML with CSS
Hello, this is a followup to my earlier queries. I have watched the videos and read the Help, but not sure if the guidance is applicable since I used the Styles Basket. Re: xref in Content to Bookmap TOC
Hi Alex,
Good question...we want to use this document on an iPad in an airplane, and it is easier to click a link on the page that you are on rather than select the bookmarks tab.
Is there a way to do this?
Thanks!

OK, I got the title to work based on your last post! Still working on the image.
Finally, is there a way to place an xref in each topic to link back to the bookmap table of contents since it is a generate file?
Thank you so much!!

Thank you Julien,
Can you please write the proper css entry for me to change the title to a different font? I'm not sure I am selecting the correct thing to change the font of the tile, which may be my root problem.
Thanks!
