Hi George, thanks for the hint. I got some more information, but still no real clarity... that is what it is printing: [INFO] Using org.apache.xerces.parsers.SAXParser as SAX2 Parser [INFO] FOP 0.20.5 [INFO] Using org.apache.xerces.parsers.SAXParser as SAX2 Parser [INFO] building formatting object t...

odd error during PDF generation
Hi again,
I get this error:
"E The process ended with code : 2 The error was : [ERROR] null"
It doesn't say, why. I get it as soon as I try to produce a PDF from Docbook. Would you think this could be a bug in Apache FOP?
Just producing the .fo files works.
Daniel

Folding in Standalone Version
Hi, obviously folding doesn't work on my machine, why ever. I saw in the help a screenshot which showed a column on the left side of the text with little triangles. As I understood it, I should click on the triangle to fold the tags contents. So I think I should see a similar column here, but there ...

Docbook: Cross referencing XIncluded document parts
Hi, its me again. Today I struggle with citations. I have a book which consists of several chapters. And those chapters are XIncluded, which works so far as a charm. Now I add a chapter for my bibliography. This will of course also get XIncluded. Normally I would reference the citations using <citat...

hi, let me add something... I also experience Out of Memory exceptions. My situation is this: I have a master-xml file (docbook) which includes 10 other docbook files using XInclude. When I have all files open the oxygen process already eats about 180MB of RAM, which seems quite a lot. The XML istel...

Figure and its title on the same page
Hi, its me again :) I have now frequently the problem, that the title of my figure gets written on one page and the actual figure is drawn on the next one. This looks really stupid - I read that docbook is describing system instead of a formatting system, thus shouldn't need layout commands. And ind...

Uff. Uhm. You are right! I don't know why I did not expect that list at the beginning of the document. And that it gets built automatically... very unintuitive, normally you have to do something to get results :-). So stupid. I was all time trying to add it to the end of my document and did not see ...

I can answer my own question here, in part. To include an index: Insert <indexterm><primary>The term</primary></indexterm> at any place which you want to refer to in the index. Then your index will be generated at the place where you insert the <index/> tag. This seems straightforward and quite easy...

how to build list of tables and figures and an index
Hi, as I now started to write a rather long document using docbook, I wonder how to get all those neat features that I remember from my old LaTEX days. Especially the generation of lists such as which figures or tables I used where and with which caption, automatic numbering, correct page number ref...

Handling of special characters
Hi there, I am now using oxygenxml for some weeks and am quite pleased. Well done. But I have one thing to ask for. I am german and I happen to have to write german texts from time to time. So I have to use theses ugly Umlauts like ä, ö, ü etc. XML as such doesn't care much if they are encoded in...
