Question: hide elements in XML view

Post by derBunte »

Hi,

sometimes I wish to concentrate on writing in our XML-based language and hide the documentation elements, which all begin with <ourdoc:...>. Any way to hide these? Perhaps even a placeholder such as "..." could be diplayed instead.

Hello,

In the text view you can fold the <ourdoc:...> elements. In the Author view you can hide the elements with a property display:none or a property foldable:true for the <ourdoc:...> in the CSS associated with the XML file.

Hi,

the folding still leaves some bits (one line) visible and the author view is not really an option at a first glance. I am not even 100% sure about what I need. Perhaps putting everything (not just the tag) within <ourdoc:...> in a very light grey would suffice. So this might be a feature request for Oxygen 12 :)

But I'll give the author view a second attempt.

Thanks,

Patrick

Hi Patrick,

Check out the Options->Preferences -- Editor / Colors / Elements by Prefix. Add there ourdoc as prefix and set the color to light gray.
