Searchability of topics in "chunk: to content"
Here is something that has been annoying me for a while. To start off, I create normal parent & child topics, then:
Scenario 1
If I do not specify a "chunk" setting, the resulting WebHelp shows the parent/children in the left nav TOC. If I search for a a child topic (using its topic title), the topic is found high up in the search results.
Scenario 2
If I set "chunk" to "to content", the resulting WebHelp shows only the parent in the TOC nav, and there is a separate mini-TOC in the upper right corner of the topic. BUT in this case, searching a child topic by title does not find the topic! It may be buried at the very end of the search results, but I've scanned the first several pages of hits and it is not found.
Question: Is this a bug in WebHelp or in OxygenXML? Or just a design flaw? Can I work around this?
I would like to use "chunk: to content" more often because I like the mini-TOC and it helps keep the TOC streamlined. But the drop in findability of the child topics is a real deal killer in my view.

Hi,
Thank you for your feedback.
Unfortunately, in the current implementation of WebHelp Responsive it is not possible to achieve this. We already have this feature request to our issue tracking tool and I have added your vote and your comments to it.
Regards,
Ionela

Re: Searchability of topics in "chunk: to content"
Hello,
I have the exact same issue and I was wondering when this feature/improvement is planned to be released.
My colleagues use the chunk:"to-content" attribute extensively but chunked topics not showing up on the search results is a deal-breaker.
Please, add my vote to your issue tracking system.
Thanks!

Old topic but I just stumbled across this issue when trying to search my chunked Webhelp content with the default search engine. Is this still in the backlog or is there a better search solution for Webhelp content (for example use the Feedback addon that I have read about in other forum posts)?

Is there a way to configure the transformation scenario to display the chunked content in the search result?

I've added your vote and gave the issue we have logged in our system a bump.
