Content Fusion and SDL Tridion Docs
Post by ann.jensen »
Hi,
I just saw the following entry on https://www.oxygenxml.com/build_history_21_0.html Build Notes.
Bundled Add-ons: Updated the bundled "Oxygen Content Fusion Connector" to 1.0.6 which is now compatible with SDL Tridion Docs (tested with version 13 SP2).
Can you give me a quick overview of what features this provides for authors and reviewers using SDL Tridion Docs. Does it provide support for keys, xrefs, conrefs etc? Are there DITA development features that are not supported through the Content Fusion Connector?
Any feedback appreciated,
Regards,
Ann

Hello,
We tested Content Fusion with SDL Tridion Docs 13 SP2. We were able to create a review task from files stored on SDL, add suggestions in Content Fusion, and fetch the changes back in Oxygen. After the merge, files that were modified in Content Fusion are opened in Oxygen XML Editor tabs ready to be saved / checked in the CMS.
Files that were added on the server are downloaded locally. They need to be manually imported in the CMS. This import process may involve updating references to the newly added files to use the SDL GUID instead of the file name given by the Subject Matter Expert.
Regarding DITA support, if the content writer that creates the content associates a DITA Map and a DITAVAL filter with the review task, Content Fusion is able to render correctly DITA content that includes conrefs, keys and everything.
You can give it a try. Go to https://fusion.oxygenxml.com/evaluate and follow the instructions in the "On your server" tab.
Best,
Cristian

Hi Crisitan,
Thank you for your reply. One other element of my query that I forgot to ask is if Content Fusion supports/applies Schematron rules in any way?
Regards,
Ann
