XML Author doesn't respond

Somehow when I edit global transformation scenarios, Oxygen XML Author does not respond any more!

How do I solve this problem? Are there any ways to initialize XML Author settings?

This phenomenon occurs in Oxygen XML Author 23.1. But as with 23.0, editing global transformation (clicking the transformation) does not returns any respond. The "Configure Transformation Scenario" is frozen and close button does not work.

Uninstall - re-installing Oxygen XML Editor 23.1 does not solve this problem. The global transformation scenarios may be saved in the another location that XML Editor installed. Are there any workaround to solve this problem? For instance initialize global transformation scenario.

For your reference, I'm using Oxygen Windows installer.

I'm not sure what the problem is. Do you get this problem when you edit any global transformation scenario or only certain transformation scenarios? Does the blockage appear to be permanent or does Oxygen freeze only for a couple of seconds?

Can you maybe export such a transformation scenario to a separate XML settings file and send it to us for analysis?

As an alternative maybe you can enable full logging in Oxygen by creating a log4j2.properties file:

start Oxygen, reproduce the problem, force close Oxygen and then send us a zip containing the log.

Yes, only when edit "global transformation scenario".

Clicking the scenario or clicking "Edit", "New", "Duplicate" , "Remove" and "×" button on the "Configure Transformation Scenario(s)" dialog does not respond at all. But the dialog can be dragged.

I could export the global transformation scenario. I will send the OneDrive link via another mail to you.

Unfortunately this didn't work. No oxygen folders or log files appear in my desktop.

I have a backup file of global transformation scenario. So it is possible to completely remove XML Author's global transformation scenario, if you can indicate it to me.

• Applying Options - Reset Global Option and launch XML Author again.

• Then open bookmap and select Document - Configure Transformation Scenario.

• Select "Web Help Responsive" and push "Duplicate"

The "Configure Transformation Scenario(s)" dialog become frozen. I can drag this dialog, but selecting "X" (Close dialog) does not work at all.
As a result I must launch Task Manager and kill Oxygen XML Author process.

This is current situation.

To update this forum thread:

Toshihiko provided us with a logging file showing where Oxygen blocks when editing the transformation scenario and we'll try to come up with a fix in the next Oxygen 23.1 minor bug fix release.

Waiting for the new maintenance build. I couldn't use Oxygen for less than a month in my main handheld PC and obliged to use very old powerless PC.
Today I found that Oxygen installed in my desktop also freezes when I modify global transformation scenario. Without working Oxygen, I could not successfully continue my job

We are working to release Oxygen 23.1. It would be great if you could email us, tell me what flavor of Oxygen (Editor/Author) you are using and on what operating system and I can try to provide you with an installation kit. This would also help us validate the fix with your plugins.

From my (short) experience, this can happen when there's another program running, or at least, it never happened when XML Author was the only active program on my computer. It stopped with the 23.1 hotfix though!
