Suggested improvements to profiler
I didn't realise there was a 'turn on profiler' button for a long time.
Views which depend on the profiler button being pushed (such as the Hotspots or Invocation Tree views should indicate when profiling is not active rather than just being blank and providing no controls or information to help.
I kept looking at those views and couldn't establish how to make the profiler active. The context help file points you to a configuration panel under Options > Preferences > XML > XSLT-FO or something. This doesn't include a 'turn on profiling' control either.
Perhaps these views should provide information or a link to the help file which details how to turn profiling on.

Hello,
Just select one of the views Hotspots and Invocation Tree with the mouse and press F1 to open the Help dialog directly at the subsection about that view in the Profiler chapter of the User Manual. Both subsections contain direct links to the section about profiler settings in the Preferences dialog.
Regards,
Sorin
