Re: Incrementing metadata/pattern
Hi Konrad, For the editing part you would probably need to build a custom solution by creating a custom plugin. Oxygen has support for Java based plugins: https://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/ug-editor/dev_guide/plugins.html A sample plugin which does something along the lines of what you need would be our...

Re: Is it possible to flag references to files outside of a project
Hi, Right, we have a topic about referencing resources outside of the DITA Map folder: https://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/versions/26.0/ug-editor/topics/dita-ot-external-refs.html But it's best to avoid such a situation altogether if the resource can be copied to the proper location. In the Oxygen DITA M...

Re: How to create a footer in a table (DITA)
Hi David, With DITA XML, a tgroup can only have thead and tbody, so no tfoot element exists in the DITA XML standard: https://www.oxygenxml.com/dita/1.3/specs/langRef/base/tgroup.html When converting I would advise you to take the rows from the tfoot and place them inside the tbody at the end, maybe...

Re: Creating a Definition List/Glossary in PDF
Hi, I'm glad you made good progress! So just to understand, if you use a <topicgroup> with a specific outputclass to group these topicrefs, the XSLT template you wrote properly sorts them but if you use a <topichead> with a similar outputclass, the XSLT template matches it but no longer presents the...

Re: Undo Redo issues
Hi Isabelle, The desktop version of Oxygen works in the same way, it's not a but, it's a limitation of the architecture we have. Each editor page has its own undo manager as the internal model of the Text page is totally different the internal nodes model of the Author page. So when you switch from ...

Re: oXygen (+ git add-on?) seem to modify files unasked
Hi Piotr, I tried to reproduce the problem on Mac OS which should have a similar file system with Linux, I'm afraid I am not able to. I even switched to the "formats" branch, made a change, the Git add-on properly presents the modified file's name. Screenshot 2024-04-03 at 07.55.34.png Reg...

Hi, Are you using Oxygen with a content management system? Plugins installed in Oxygen may alter its behavior. You should also double check that the "DITA Maps Manager" "Context" combo box properly refers to the top level DITA Map. I worked a bit with local disk resources and def...

Re: Document too large - Format and Indent
Hi, If possible, could you take a screenshot of the entire Oxygen window when this message is presented and attach it on this thread? From what I remember Oxygen requires a maximum internal memory of about 6-7 times more than the file size on disk to perform format and indent. In the Oxygen main men...

Hi,
Yes, Oxygen does not do this by default. Is it possible that you probably have some kind of DITA framework customization, set up in the past by you or maybe some organization specific customization that you set up or was set up for you after installing Oxygen?
Regards,
Radu

Hi Bob, Great, the platform file chooser is almost a native Finder window, sometimes we detect or consider that we detect a crash when showing it so we switch to the backup chooser which looks ugly and performs worse. So indeed you can manually check the "Use platform file chooser" checkbo...

Yes, this is the magic of creating a small project. Sometimes along the way though while trimming down the content you might also understand the problem better.

Hi, I assume that if you open the main DITA Map in the Oxygen DITA Maps Manager view and use the "Validate and check for completeness" action you do not get any errors reported. If you can create a small sample DITA project exhibiting the problem, zip it and send it to us maybe we can look...

So you still seem to need to have the contents of the DITA project locally, in this case in your one drive folder.

Hi Birgitte,
I'm afraid the Fluenta add-on for now supports only working with local files. If we manage to improve it in a future version we'll update this forum thread. Maybe as a workaround you could try to attempt to map the Sharepoint repository as a local Windows disk drive?

Re: File Open Dialog issues Mac
Hi Bob, Not sure how to proceed, we do not implement the file chooser ourselves so we do not have control over how it handles clicking, I assume somehow the events it receives from the mouse are sometimes incomplete. If you look in the Oxygen Preferences->"Global" page there is a "Use...

Re: What does "DITA Map Validation and Completeness Check" check?
Hi Ann, If you had local disk files, you could batch validate files by using Oxygen's Project view. But with CMS files I guess the only way to batch validate with Schematron is to use "Validate and check for completeness" and specify a Schematron rules file there but this will perform vali...

Re: What does "DITA Map Validation and Completeness Check" check?
Hi Ann, There are very few conditions on the content and because we are using Tridion Docs ishconditions, I believe we can't use them for validating in Oxygen XML Author. I'm not sure abotu that one, not sure if Tridion defines ishconditions as a proper profiling attribute... Is there a way to limit...

Re: What does "DITA Map Validation and Completeness Check" check?
Hi Ann, Yes, you understood precisely the problem, the validate and check for completeness follows every reference (direct from the DITA map or indirect from topics referenced in the DITA Map). And I think this is correct as the publishing engine attempts to do about the same thing when publishing a...

Hi,
I'm afraid our scripting support does not have this feature of CSV to XML conversion.
Also this particular solution we have is not based on an open source library but maybe you can find some other solution online.
