Re: setting up for Japanese search indexing
Hello, I put the jar file in the lib folder and added a line under line 259 mentioned by jbisso as shown below, but I still got OXYWH001W. <pathelement path="${webhelp.lib.dir}/lucene-analyzers-kuromoji-4.0.0.jar"/> After a bit of trial and error, I found I had to put the jar file in "...

Re: Index Sorting for Japanese
Hello, I'd just like to clarify a few points: 1. Has installing Kuromoji got anything to do with creating the index (as in, based on indexterms in DITA)? When I got the message below, I assumed it was referring to the index. "[OXYWH001W]: Kuromoji analyzer not available for indexing Japanese pa...

Thanks for the reply.
I remember the note about the promotion. I suppose it had been in place so long that I took it for granted.
No quibbles about the quality of the product, just the effect on the pocket.
Cheers,
Eddie.

SMP Price Rise
Hello, I recently received the reminder to renew my SMP. The unit price is listed as $116 which is a $42 increase. I'm assuming this is correct because it tallies with your homepage. What is the reason for such a big increase? We are using 28 licences, so this will have quite a significant effect. Ch...

Autogenerating File Names
Hello, Many thanks for the Use title to generate the file name and Use the file name as the value of the root ID attribute check boxes, which are very useful. However... Is there are any way of customising the pattern of the generated file name? I'm thinking of 2 things in particular: 1: Using hyphe...

Re: About PDF J001E
Hello Radu, There's a sample on the way. I found out that our tool defaults to "ja-JP" if there is no xml:lang attribute, but even so it outputs the index-sort-as correctly whether or not xml:lang is set and whether it is set to "en-US" or "ja-JP" oXygen outputs correct...

Re: About PDF J001E
Thanks again, Radu. Just to confirm (I know this is a DITA OT phenomenon, not oXygen, but please bear with me): So, by default, index-sort-as entries that start with a double-byte character are not output in PDF by DITA OT. To ouput them, you have to customize one or more files in the OT. (I can't r...

Thanks for the reply.
Yes.Did you generate an index page for the PDF also using the DITA OT 1.6.3?
No, we want the index included in the output.Or do you want to inhibit the index page generation?
Using bookmaps. Are you using a DITA Map or a DITA bookmap?
Cheers,
Eddie

About PDF J001E
Hello, We have our own tool for PDF output which includes DITA OT 1.6.3. We are thinking of switching to oXygen's output engine for convenience but noticed the following phenomenon: Using Author 17.1 (which includes OT 1.8.5), I noticed that we cannot get an index output for any terms that have an i...

Should Schematron Quick Fixes be Offered for Attributes?
Hello, Using Author 17.0. Working in DITA. Apologies if this is not the right place to ask, but I can't find any relevant information on this: I have a schematron that checks ids to see if they contain underscores, which we do not allow. I have set a quick fix to replace underscores with hyphens, li...

Hello, Using Author 17.0. I'm trying to work out how @locktitle should behave, but the differences in behaviour are confusing and the documentation I can find doesn't seem to help. Apologies for the long question. With the following bookmap section: <chapter href="topics/c-testee-tuto-3.dita&qu...

Re: auto-generate DITA topic id from its file name
Hello Alex,
Thanks for the reply.
My mistake: I have oXygen 16 and 17 installed. I had 17 open, but was editing the template file of 16.
It's working fine now and it's just what we need.
Just out of interest, why doesn't changing the template work when you create from File->New?
Cheers,
Eddie.

Re: auto-generate DITA topic id from its file name
Hello, I'm just curious to know if there has been any further changes in this area. As with the OP, we have a rule that the topic id should be the same as the file name, and we've recently had some objections from manual writers arguing that it's too much trouble and it's not a DITA requirement anyw...

How to Display Quick Fixes When Validating a Map File
Hello, Using Author 17, working in DITA. I have a schematron that checks if image elements contain alt elements. This contains a quick fix to add the alt element if it is missing. When I associate the schematron with an individual topic that has an image with no alt, the error is flagged and the qui...

Re: Content Completion Assistant for Schematron
Correction, the options in the Content Completion Assistant are:
The schema closing tag ("/sch:schema>" - although there is already one below it);
the comment tag ("!-- -->");
the CDATA tag ("![CDATA[]]>")
Apologies.

Hello,
We also noticed this problem.
Will you be doing anything to fix it in subsequent versions, or does it depend on Oracle making changes to the Java VM?
Cheers,
Eddie
