Re: Make Oxygen webhelp load faster
It's great to hear that you're working on improving the loading speed in the next version. I'm looking forward to it. Is that in v 17 or a dot release in v16?

rellinks inconsistency
If I set the rellinks parameter to Default in my webhelp transform, and then add linking="none" as an attribute to my ditamap, it does exclude the rellinks for those sections. However, if I set the rellinks parameter to None in my webhelp transform, and then add linking="all" as ...

Make Oxygen webhelp load faster
Although the webhelp files are simple static files, they sometimes take a while to load in the browser. For example, go to http://tools.pingdom.com/ and load this file: http://idratherbewriting.com/ditaqrg/ . Here's a report of the loading time by resource: http://www.screencast.com/t/0DubzMjFAjd2 ....

Re: Clarify parameter settings for rellinks
I see that you have to deliberate between consistency and usability here. My comment was just pointing out a confusing part of the interface. Not a huge deal.

Re: Understanding conditional filtering
I didn't realize that I should be using the DITAVAL files instead of the conditional profiling options within Oxygen. I admit that the Oxygen interface is flaky when it comes to selecting filters anyway. For example, suppose I have 8 transforms configured. Then I go and edit a property in my conditi...

Re: jquery tabs are choking
I'm not really sure I understand what you're saying. I don't want to implement tabs by editing my files after I transformed them to HTML. I want to put the code into the DITA topic and have the tabs appear in the HTML output. In a DITA topic, this code isn't valid: <div id="tabs"> <ul> <li...

oops, I had an image tag wrong in the above. Here's the same but fixed: I'm a little confused about how conditional filtering is processed when you have no options selected versus having one option selected. Don't lose mouse focus when Java initiates transform
When I kick off about 8 transforms, it can be really annoying to constantly lose focus each time the JRE or JDK (whatever Java process it is) processes the content. I want that Java process to not take away my focus, requiring me to click again somewhere on the screen. I don't know if it's a Mac thi...

Build in mini-TOC feature
Can you build a mini-TOC into the possible parameters? I described a way of doing it here: http://idratherbewriting.com/ditaqrg/#add_mini_toc.html with a demo here: http://idratherbewriting.com/ditaqrg/#mini_toc_test_page.html . I find this really useful. I would love to insert it programmatically s...

When nothing is set, the word "none" appears when in reality the Default (rather than "none") is set.

why isn't JS minified?
I noticed that most of the javascript files aren't minified. The loading time for the webhelp actually gets to be somewhat slow when you have long pages and several images. I clocked it at about 3 sec. on avg, which is slow for a static site. I manually minified all the js files. I am not sure why y...

Re: jquery tabs are choking
Can you send me a working webhelp that shows these tabs incorporated? I can't get it to work. Here's what I did. In the webhelp_topic.js file, I added this: $( "#mytabtopic__tabs" ).tabs(); Then in a DITA topic I added this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCT...

Bug with glossrefs and chunk attribute?
In exploring how to display a glossary on a ditamap, I think I encountered a bug. I described it here: http://idratherbewriting.com/ditaqrg#acronyms_and_glossary.html#Displaying_your_glossary_in_the_TOC . However, I'm not sure. This structure is valid but when you use it, the chunk attribute kills t...

Re: jquery tabs are choking
Thanks. I'll give this one a shot. I attempted to integrate it earlier, but I had trouble merging the jQuery UI JS file with the existing jQuery code already on the site. Something ended up interfering. Do you know if there's a jQuery merge tool available?

Re: jquery tabs are choking
I'm pretty sure the issue is related to the webhelp's frames. If I go to the index_frames.html output, the loading issue goes away: http://idratherbewriting.com/ditaqrg/index_frames.html#tabs_demo.html However, I don't want to use the index_frames.html output because it doesn't provide direct links ...

Re: ant build script taking forever to convert HTML to DITA
I switched from pandoc to multimarkdown to create the HTML, and now it works fine. Here's the explanation of how I'm doing it:
