Re: access MS Access from Oxygen?
Hi Radu
Thanks for your reply. I could install the 32bit-Version of Oxygen without any problems, and the Import from an access-DB worked straight away. Thanks a lot for the really helpful advise.
Have a good afternoon.

Re: access MS Access from Oxygen?
hi radu, thanks for the links. i tried this one, but i can't finish the installation because it tells me that i have various 32bit MS Office products installed. So installing the oxygen 32bit version is a valid option. can i install this version whilst keeping my 64bit installation untouched? Best r...

Re: access MS Access from Oxygen?

Following are my tools: -Windwos 7, 64 Bit -Oxygen 15.0 -Access 2007 (i heard there is no 64 bit odbc driver for this ms office tools) -ODBC-driver: So i use the 32-bit driver located under C:\Windows\SysWOW64 (Yes the naming i...

Re: access MS Access from Oxygen?
Hi Radu Ok. The windows environment is now ok i think. But still i cannot establish a proper connection with a test-db from oxygen. probably the problem lies in the URL-String from the connection panel of oxygen: URL: jdbc:odbc:C:/neu/test-odbc.accdb having entered the above statement resulted in an...

Re: access MS Access from Oxygen?
Good evening Radu Unfortunately even with google i couldn't find out a solid solution to that. I am looking for a way to integrate live-MS-access-data into my workflows, and a simple import resp. c/p wouldn't be the preferred solution. According to your above statement, i hope that in your next rele...

Re: access MS Access from Oxygen?
Dear Radu Thanks for this promising reply. Unfortunately i couldn't setup the database connection to access from my system. although the installation of the AccessDatabaseEngine worked, the user-dsn of the system is not changed accordingly. It seems there are some driver issues in regards 32 or 64 s...

access MS Access from Oxygen?
Good Morning Everyone, Dear XML experts I noticed that some database connections are only available for the enterprise version, however i haven't found any clear statement about the connection to MS access. Is there a way i could access my Access-DB from my Dita-Code in Oxygen, and how could i accom...

Re: map.dtd of oxygen 15.0 and 16.1
Hello Adrian Sorry for the late reply. It is actually a custom xsl-chain that i integrated into the xsl-structure of the OT. Therefore there is not a proper log-file available. In fact, the Dita-OT would not be necessary for that scenario, however i wanted to have it as an integrated part of the Dit...

map.dtd of oxygen 15.0 and 16.1
Good evening everybody Today i tried to replicate my local xml-environment on another collegues machine. Unfortunately i cannot reproduce my transformation scenario and it fails during the process since it seems to look for the map.dtd file on a wrong location. My environment: Oxygen 15.0 / Local DI...

Re: xsl with replace function can't be compiled
just updating: in the meantime i am surcompassing the problem over an xslt-scenario. This one works fine. What i am not understanding, why the same is not working over an ant-scenario. the basic function is a simple string-replace-function (xslt1.0) similar to the one Adrian suggested to me. So that...

Re: xsl with replace function can't be compiled
thanks adrian for your reply, this helped, and my script is running properly now in xslt 1.0. now i run into another problem: because i am testing my ant-script outside of the dita-ot-environment i cannot run even simple test-scripts from the oxygen-ant-scenario. i already removed everything related...

Re: xsl with replace function can't be compiled
hi adrian i use the regular oxygen-ant setup, and i don't have ant installed seperately. could it be that i can't make this issue work because of that? what i would prefer would be a xslt replacement function that replaces some characters with others within strings, that also works for xslt1.0? I am...

xsl with replace function can't be compiled
Hello Everyone I am creating an ant-script where i execute an xsl-statement that uses the following command (which is apparently not available in xslt1.0): <xsl:value-of select="replace(., 'old', 'current') Consequence: my ant script returns a fatal error, and says the stylesheet couldn't be co...

Re: XPath
Hi Costin Thanks for your hint. This made it work in the Xpath-Editor: //p[@*:pstyle='any_format'] However, when i integrate the same statement in my xsl-file and execute it, i get the following error-message: "Invalid character (:) in expression //p[@*:pstyle='any_format']" The statement ...

Re: Setting up development environment
Hi Radu The problem is the following: So far i was running my scripts (ant-program/xsl-transforms) over eclipse on DITA-OT 1.7.5, which worked and gave me good results when launched from eclipse. Since i now tried to execute exactly the same scripts located on the same place, but from within my oxyg...

Setting up development environment
Hello After having installed the oxygen, i was trying to start working on the DITA OT delivered with oxygen. Apparently, there is a write protection on the oxygen installation so i cannot easily add and edit files to the DITA OT. Is there a way around that? or should i link from my oxygen to another...

Re: d4p integrated in the latest release (v14.2)?
Hi Radu
I am still looking for ways to generate from dita-content a monolithic XML-File. In the end this File should be imported in Indesign for proper formatting. Thats why i would hope that the dita2indesign-plugin would do that job? or even some others too?

Re: Transformation-Szenario DITA-XML
Hi Radu, thanks very much for your advise and very quick answer. Yes, i think that might be exactly what i want. What i need is in the end: a final, complete xml-file, representing the complete and final content of a particular print product. This XML-file involves then only the content connected to...

Transformation-Szenario DITA-XML
Hello Everyone Just started to look into DITA some weeks back. Since i can't use a regular output scenario such as i.e. PDF or XHTML, i am wondering how i could establish the following: The content of my .dita-Files should be written into a final overall XML-File, according to the order that is give...
