Customize Track Change Behavior
Post by Seong woong Kwon »
Hi.
When making an Insertion in an Insert or delete changes, if original content and changes made by the same user, the change is just expended or deleted. I want to the original content is split in two and the change appears marked INSERT or DELETE like when other users make change.
Is there any options? or Is it possible by Customizing framework?

Re: Customize Track Change Behavior
Hi,
Sorry, this is not possible.
Imagine that during one editing session someone enables change tracking, inserts a paragraph and then starts writing in it. According to your suggestions, when the user starts inserting content in the paragraph he has just created, the paragraph insertion would be split in two changes and the user's change would be the third change. But actually what happens now, which I regard as correct is that there is a large change comprising the entire paragraph.
I think that what you would actually want is to have some "session"-related information. So that when in the same editing session the user edits inside his changes everything remains as a single edit. But when in another editing session (document has been closed, reopened) the same user's changes would split the changes made by the user in the previous session. But we do not have such a feature.
Regards,
Radu
