Lag when switching file view since 8.2

Since installing oXygen 8.2 I have started noticing a delay when switching between open files. This particularly applies to large files (2000+ lines). The delay corrsponds with my CPU usage hitting 100% and staying there for a few seconds. During this time the file is visible but I have no cursor control.

I am running Windows XP Pro SP2 on a 1.8GHz Pentium 4 machine with 2GB RAM. I have changed the default VM settings in oxygen.ini to -Xmx512m but this has made no difference. Has anyone else had this problem or have any suggestions how to fix it?
