Any idea of something I might have missed when I set up Oxygen in 10?

I am using XML 21.1 and Windows 10. I have specified the path to my customized templates. Oxygen XML only sees the default templates when I try to create a new file. I have a computer running Windows 7. I have compared the preferences between the two computers. I do not see a discrepancy and Oxygen recognizes my templates in Windows 7. Windows 10 operating system is the only culprit I can think of. Any idea of something I might have missed when I set up Oxygen in 10?

Officially we no longer support Oxygen 21:

I'm not sure. what's going on here, it should work, once you specify an extra custom templates folder in the Preferences and save the preferences, the File->New wizard dialog should show them. What kind of templates are they? Are the plain XML, DITA XML?
