Unrelated DITAMAP being published

Hi all,

We are running into an issue with one of our DITAMAPs where an extra map is being published along with the main map. This is not a submap in the main map nor is it linked anywhere in the DITAMAP, and we do not know why it is being published.

We confirmed with our documentation portal that they are receiving both maps in the zip archive. Publishing this map from our CCMS does not cause the second map to be published, so it seems to be an Oxygen issue.

I have tried using a process of exclusion to narrow down the offending map/topic, but I was not able to identify a single source which leads me to believe there are multiple files causing it.

Our workaround for now is we added the extra map as resource-only to the main map. This prevents it from being published as a second DITAMAP, but does not reveal the cause.

We would appreciate any help identifying the issue here.

Hi,
I do not understand, are you publishing from inside Oxygen or from the CMS? If you are publishing from Oxygen, maybe you can manually delete the transformation temporary and output folders before publishing?
Or is the problem the fact that when you use a certain action in Oxygen to zip the DITA content in order to send it to the CMS, the zip contains two DITA Maps instead of one? If so what exact feature in Oxygen do you use to zip the DITA content?

Sorry for the confusion!

We are publishing from Oxygen to Fluid Topics using the Fluid Topics plug in.

We are publishing DITAMAP 1 using the plug in, but then on Fluid Topics, DITAMAP 1 and an unrelated DITAMAP 2 are published. Fluid Topics support said that they are both in the zip archive received from Oxygen, but DITAMAP 2 should not be there.

Hi,
From what I remember, FluidTopics has an Oxygen plugin which contributes an action somewhere in the DITA Maps Manager view to create a zip and then to upload it to their servers. It's their plugin, we are not familiar with its implementation, what it does to identify the content which needs to be uploaded to their server.
