Extremely slow directory navigation in Compare Directories

While using the comparison tools for comparing directories (both 2 and 3 way) the navigation to open a directory is exceedingly slow, taking between 5 and 10 seconds to move one folder in the tree.

I recently upgraded my computer and in the process I upgraded to the newest version of Oxygen to Developer v28 - from Editor v25 on my old one. Everything seems to be working as before except the navigation in the directory comparison tools. My files are stored on my C-drive, not connected with OneDrive, and I can navigate through the tree just fine with the normal Oxygen open file or compare files options. It is only in the directory comparison tool that is suddenly slows to 1990s speeds. It is barely useable.

Unfortunately, we couldn't reproduce the situation you described. I have added an issue to our internal issue tracker to investigate this further.
Maybe you can provide us with more details:

• Are you comparing directories with a very large number of files or deeply nested structures?
• Do you have any file or folder filters set?
• Is the Show Only Modifications option enabled?

You might also want to check if any antivirus or security software is scanning files as they are accessed by Oxygen.
