Which Saxon Version in 27.1?
Hi,
Which version of Saxon is bundled with the latest oXygen release?
Where can this be found in the documentation?
Also, which validation engine is used for XML using RGN/Schematron validation? In the transformation scenario, the <default engine> is used, but I could not find out what is this.

Re: Which Saxon Version in 27.1?
Hello,
The latest oXygen XML Editor release (27.1) bundles Saxon 12.5, including Home Edition (HE), Professional Edition (PE), and Enterprise Edition (EE). You can find this information in the documentation under the Saxon-HE/PE/EE Preferences section.
The default validation engine for these is typically the built-in engine (for RNG we use Jing) provided by oXygen, unless you specify a custom one in the Custom Validation Engines Preferences. Oxygen allows you to configure custom validation engines for various schema types, including Relax NG (RNG) and Schematron.
I recommend using the AI chat from the user manual to ask questions. It can help you find the information you need.
Best Regards,
Octavian
