Profiling attribute values show up twice in Author Mode dropdown menu.

Post by jdonges »

Hi,
this is more of a beauty flaw but maybe there is a way to prevent it?
We have a customized DITA profiling attribute `reviewstate`. It has three defined values in the DTD.
Now when I set it up in the profiling settings of Oxygen XML Editor 26.1 and use the drop down view in author mode, the values will show up twice:

This seems to come once from the DTD and once from the definition in Oxygen, because when I change the DTD and allow all values, they do show up only once here.
Is this a bug? Anything I can do about it?
Best regards
Jörn

Hello Jörn,

I can reproduce the problem by defining the same values for a profiling attribute both in the DTDs and in the Oxygen Preferences->"Editor / Edit Modes / Author / Profiling/Conditional Text / Attributes and Condition Sets" page.
I consider this to be a small bug, I added an internal issue for it, pasting the issue ID below for future reference:

EXM-55398 Profiling attribute values from PopupCheckBoxEditor should be de-duplicated

In general people do not define fixed profiling values in the DTDs. If they want the profiling values to be imposed for validation, they would do that with a project specific subject scheme map referenced in the DITA Map.

Hi Radu,

thanks for the quick reply and your suggestion how to work around it.
I'll see if we can implement it that way.

Jörn
