Image grouping query

Hi There:
After we output our DITA files to webhelp, our web developer is posting them and applying company-branded CSS.
We're looking to see if we can tag certain images in a way that he can apply the same styling to them.
He mentioned "class", but I'm seeing there's already a class applied in the Text view. Is there another way to do this (tag certain images to group them together for CSS application), or are we limited to the DITA attributes for image?
