Compatible Software Query

Post by Stacey »

Hi There:
This isn't an issue, but a question.
Our QA department just demonstrated the new testing software they're interested in using, and one of the things the software does is record/write the steps where they click. It's a bit rough as it's calling things by the names it detects, etc., but I'm trying to figure out if there is software out that that does the same thing that would be compatible with oXygen (either in rough form, or, ideally, in a way that you can define how you want it to spit back the steps).
So, ideally, something that spits out steps in .dita and can be copied and pasted into oXygen (or opened in oXygen).
Or, something that spits out the steps that can be configured with word preferences ('Select' vs 'click', etc.)
Or, something that spits out the steps that can be copied and pasted into oXygen that is relatively easy to update with the appropriate tags.
Or, something that just spits out the steps.
Or anything similar you might be familiar with that I haven't heard of before.
Thanks!

Hi,
I'm afraid I do not understand the entire setup. If you find some software which outputs a series of steps maybe in text format or markdown or HTML they could be converted to DITA XML later on maybe using our Batch Documents Converter add-on.

We also have the AI Positron Assistant add-on which can potentially be used to convert from various text-like formats to DITA XML.
