How to add custom action as the first element in Content Completion Assistant

Post by namrata_mahendrakar »

Hi Team,
I’m trying to add a custom action as the first element in the Content Completion Assistant in Oxygen XML Editor, and I’d like it to appear as one of the options in the dropdown when users trigger content completion (By pressing Enter Key).
However, I’d like this action to be directly accessible in the Content Completion Assistant, ideally at the top of the suggestions. Like it does for New Step element

Could you advise if there’s a specific configuration or syntax required to get custom actions to show up in the Content Completion menu? Any examples or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Hi,
You can add a custom Author action in the content completion window:

You cannot precisely place it somewhere, usually the actions in the content completion window are alphabetically sorted, with the special split actions placed on top.

Thanks for the response Radu.
Can we create a custom action that can benefit from the same split actions treatment (always to be placed on top)?

Hi,
I do not see a way in which this could be done using our current customization possibilities.
