Suppress some glossary content from hint/hover text

Post by gchale3rd »

Is it possible to suppress part of the content in a glossary topic so that the content does not appear in the hint/hover text that displays when user hovers the mouse cursor over a glossary term in a help topic?

For example, I have a glossary topic that contains two paragraphs. When I hover the mouse cursor over the glossary term in a help topic, the hint/hover text shows both paragraphs. I would prefer that the hint/hover text only display the first paragraph from the glossary topic.

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us.

Unfortunately this is not possible for WebHelp Responsive output and we don't have an workaround for this. This is the default behavior implemented in the DITA-OT.

I have added an issue in our internal issue tracker to be further analyzed by our development team. We will inform you once we have a solution.

Hi,
Is there a solution to the above problem? We have a list of gloss definitions, each two para long. The requirement is to display only the expanded definition when hovered over a glossary term, not the additional details in the paragraphs.

Diana
