GUI Font size

Is it possible to change the font size in the GUI or is it inherited from the general os-settings?

I'm using WinXP.

Sure the editor text font can be changed but it would be handy to be able to change to bigger fonts for example in the Outline frame.
I didn't find any hint in the oXygen help file.

This is not possible right now. There is a bugzilla entry with this so it should get fixed in future releases.

Hello,
the font in the 'DITA reference' dialog does not match the size set in 'Preferences'. So it strains the eye depending on the screen, especially when looking at it for an extended time when "refactoring" the documentation.

It would be helpful, if the tree structure would use the fonts from 'Preferences'.

Hi,
This is a forum thread from 20 years ago, in such cases I would suggest maybe starting a new thread.
So you went to the Oxygen Preferences->"Fonts" page and increased the GUI font, correct? Can you also try to increase the "Text components" font and then restart the application?

i was not sure if it's worth creating a new thread for minor things or not. i will create a new thread next time.

all text is set to '16' and everything is easily readable, except for the tree in the 'DITA References' dialog. (the tab headings 'Outgoing/ Incoming' do apply the '16' size)

Hi,
Attaching a screenshot from my side Oxygen 26.1 with the DITA References add-on installed, the Preferences->Fonts "Text Components" font is set to 16 and it takes effect both in the DITA Maps Manager view and in the DITA References side view. So I cannot reproduce the problem.

it was because of the version. I updated from 26.0 to 26.1 and it works now. Thank you!

Strange, I don't think we did anything specific in version 26.1 for propagating better the font size, but I'm glad it works for you now.
