Check 404 error during publishing
Hi there,
Is there a way to validate the external link during publishing and print the log in the "transformation problems" section?
It seems that Oxygen only checks the xref inside the dita files. If there's a broken external link, it won't be identified.

Hello,
Could you indicate which Oxygen version and which transformation scenario you are using?
Is the broken link intended in your publication or is this the origin of the problem?
Regards,
Julien

We're using <oXygen/> XML Author 24.1, and the transformation scenario is DITA Map HTML5.julien_lacour wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2024 9:26 am Hello,

Sometimes, we insert hrefs in the dita files to direct readers to other articles on our doc site or to the third-party site. If these links are changed without notice, the hrefs would become invalid in our docs, that's why we'll need Oxygen to check the validity of the link's.

Hello,
You can check these hrefs by using the Validate and Check for Completeness tool in the DITA Maps Manager view:

You will obtain errors similar to this one:
Regards,Reference "https://www.oxygenxml.com/non/existing/path" not found. Cause: 404 Not Found for: https://www.oxygenxml.com/non/existing/path.

OK I can try that, but does that mean we cannot check the validity of the links during publishing? If so, we'll have to add the DITA Map completeness check into our SOP for each release.
As for the checking results, there're too many warning that aren't relevant to us. I've tried to deselect some options in the settings window, but it didn't seem to work.
