Oxygen equivalent of Resolved Document View in Arbortext?
Hello,
We are currently migrating from Arbortext to Oxygen as our XML editor.
Arbortext's Resolved Document View enables you to view all the topics referenced by a map and its submaps in one window. Many of our writers find it very useful to see a whole chapter or section when writing, instead of individual xml files.
Does Oxygen have something like that?
Thank you,
Will

Re: Oxygen equivalent of Resolved Document View in Arbortext?
Hi Will,
In the Oxygen DITA Maps Manager view there is an action on the toolbar named "Open map in editor with resolved topics". The opened content will not allow direct editing inside topics but users can right click and choose "Edit reference" to open and edit each individual topic. For Oxygen 23 (Autumn this year) we have already started to work on experimental support to allow editing the referenced topics directly in the resolved view. We will update this forum thread when we'll have an Oxygen release with this capability.
Regards,
Radu

Re: Oxygen equivalent of Resolved Document View in Arbortext?
Hi Will,
We released Oxygen 23 and in Oxygen 23 we added in the Preferences->"Editor / Edit Modes / Author" page a checkbox named "Allow referenced content to be edited" which can be enabled. Then if in the "DITA Maps Manager" you have the main DITA Map opened you can use the "Open Map with resolved topics" action located on the view's toolbar to open the map with resolved and editable topics.
Regards,
Radu

Hi Radu,
Will this function also work for topics that are referenced via keys?
Thanks,
Jen
