Linking two project (.xpr)
Post here questions and problems related to editing and publishing DITA content.
Linking two project (.xpr)
Hello,
I want to know if it's possible to link 2 separate, independent projects (different .xpr). By that, I mean I want to reference a page in the project one to a page in project two. The two projects are independent and build in two different folders. This is due to the fact that we have two different product to document.
Best regards
Sitraka

Re: Linking two project (.xpr)
Hi,
What XML vocabulary are you using for publishing? Do you publish using Oxygen's internal publishing capabilities or using your own stylesheets?
The easiest way to link between separate projects is to know at what web address each project will be published and just add absolute web links to those web addresses.

Radu

Re: Linking two project (.xpr)
Hi Sitraka,
You should consider my suggestion of using web links between the two projects.
The DITA standard also has some support for cross deliverable linking:
https://www.oxygenxml.com/dita/1.3/spec ... -maps.html
but this is not something supported out of the box when publishing so you would need to implement publishing customizations.
We have an end user who made cross deliverable linking work for DITA to WebHelp output using a custom plugin:
https://github.com/chrispy-snps/DITA-fi ... html-links
