Feature/tutorial requests: WebHelp Responsive Output
Hi, your tutorials on customizing the WebHelp responsive output are very useful, especially these two webinars: https://www.oxygenxml.com/events/2022/w ... utput.html and https://www.oxygenxml.com/events/2018/w ... utput.html.
After following the above two tutorials and working with customizations, I wanted to add the below to the suggestion box.
1. Incorporate the features demonstrated in the above webinar tutorials into your WebHelp Responsive templates.
Examples:
- Search bar in header
- Light/dark theme switch
- "Featured content" section with a prebuilt layout for the video thumbnails
2. Provide new video tutorial content on customizing or extending the WebHelp output:
- How to create a blog with OxygenXML (e.g., it could expand upon this post on your blog: https://blog.oxygenxml.com/topics/welcome.html)
- How to customize the WebHelp output with Bootstrap components (e.g., like the ones here: https://getbootstrap.com/docs/4.6/components/ -- this URL defaults to Alerts, see lefthand navigation for complete list)
- How to always show the mobile hamburger menu button on the WebHelp responsive layout (the use case would be for a product guide with a lot of menu items)
- For the same use case: How to add a dynamic "More..." dropdown to the top menu (something like this: https://github.com/lukejacksonn/GreedyNav)
- How to create deluxe submenus with sections and icons, like the ones featured on your site (e.g., the "Products" dropdown that has three sections plus icons)
Just some thoughts... keep up the great work!

Hi Katy,
The following site also contains a variety of WebHelp publishing template techniques:
Oxygen Publishing Template Samples
Inside the templates/ directory, there are many subdirectories, with each one describing a particular technique for customizing WebHelp. You can include one or more of these into your own publishing template as desired.
The challenge with this site is getting an idea of what's available. Some directories have nice screen captures that show the customization, while others require more reading and study to understand. And even with screen captures, you still need to navigate into each directory to see what it is. But still, there are many interesting customizations here to try!
