bugs in the find/replace

Post by sala »

There are several bugs in the find replace window (Using 1.2.4)

1. When I select some text, copy it and choose Search/Replace, the selected text is automatically inserted in the find field (which is nice), but I cannot paste the text to the replace field, which is not nice.

2. Sometimes, both the find AND the replace field are being selected, which means that I cannot insert text into the replace field (because the find field focus seems to have higher priority, the text is instead inserted in the find field). See image attached.

3. A detail, but why do you name the find/replace functionality "Search/Replace" in the menu but on the other hand "Find/Replace" in the find window?

Indeed, there are probelms with the focus and the copy/paste on Apple's Java 1.3.1. We will make a workaround for this in the new version. Also the name of the dialog will be fixed. Thank you.

Actually, these bugs occured with Java 1.4.1 (final release) installed.

I'm evaluating Oxygen 1.2.4 on the Windows platform (NT4) and experience the same find/replace problems. Java version is "1.4.1_01".

It seems you can use find/replace only once; thereafter you cannot 'reach' the replace field anymore, unless you restart Oxygen.
