Word to DITA Conversion - Faded Images

We have recently run into a problem where more than half of the images converted from Word to DITA are faded. We are using the batch conversion tools with Oxygen 24.1 Editor. This has not been an issue for us before, and we were wondering if any recent updates may have been made that are influencing the image conversion. Please view the attached images for a "before" and "after" view of the images.

Are these images in SVG format?
In the last version of the Batch Documents Converter add-on, we improved the processing of the SVG images that are embedded in the Word documents by saving them as SVG in the output, because we want to preserve the information and quality of these images. Before this, they are saved as PNG.

These images embedded in Word are .wmf image types. For reference, below you will find a screen shot of a forum post created by a former employee. Has the initial beta been integrated into a recent Oxygen update?

Hi Bart,

Yes, this fix was included in version 5.0.0. of the Batch Documents Converter add-on. In the initial problem, the wmf images were not copied in the output media directory and the 'href' value from the DITA file was incorrect.
Could you send me a Word sample that contains the wmf image with the problem? If you don't want to attach the document here you can email us at: support@oxygenxml.com

Did you convert the same document with that beta version and you obtained a different result? Is the screenshot of the before image from Microsoft Word?

Could you unzip the Word file and check how the WMF image looks if you open it in another application? The images are stored in the "word\media" directory from the unzipped directory.
