Source Version Control

We are trying to solve an ongoing issue within our team and were wondering if you can help. We are using Oxygen version 24 and looking for suggestions on what to use for version source control. We are using the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) to store and publish our XML content We need to be able to render and publish a book from a baseline or previous version of a book using the AEM. Currently, we are not able to without getting a ton of errors and needing assistance from IT. We had looked at the GIT Client plug-in for Oxygen as a method of version control for our XML documents but were advised against it. There is also another plugin available in Oxygen called Synchro SVN Client, but it has been deprecated. Do you have any recommendations on what we can do to solve this issue?

Hi,

About this remark:
We had looked at the GIT Client plug-in for Oxygen as a method of version control for our XML documents but were advised against it.
We usually recommend Git for version control, using our Git client add-on. Indeed our SVN client is deprecated and no longer maintained because most of our clients switched to using Git.
