Oxygen Search Function Highlights wrong words/phrases

Post by kwun »

Hello to everyone,

I work in a rather big edition project as a Digital Humanities researcher and am also responsible for the "tech side" of things.
A colleague has the following problem:
She searches for a term in some TEI-XML files and the highlighting (and marking) of the phrase doesn't work properly.
She's searching for example for the word "resp" in a tag. (<p resp="xyz"/> ) and a completely unrelated sequence of letters is highlighted/marked.
Is this a known bug or can anything be done to get rid of this?

All the bst and thanks in advance,
K

Hi,

Can you also reproduce the problem on your side?
If so maybe you can send us (support@oxygenxml.com) or post here a small TEI document along with precise steps to reproduce it. Also we would need to know what version of Oxygen you are using.

Regards,
Radu

Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce the bug on my side.
The version is Oxygen 21 for Academic Use. I added one of the files that it happens with.
I don't know exactly when it first came up, I received the email about this specific text earlier before I opened my account here.
restitutionsedikt_zdt.zip
It's not happening with all files, with the one attached she was searching for resp and the sequence "denz" in line 906 from Correspondenzen was highlighted.
edit: I recieved a screenshot, which I am sharing - https://ibb.co/h719XgV
Thanks for the help :-)
