Content Fusion Tasks Manager Pane Can't List Tasks

Post by jmorales »

Hi,
I'm using Oxygen 23.1 with Oxygen Content Fusion Connector 4.0.0. Oxygen connects to the Content Fusion server successfully, but the task list never fills in. The error is
[Oct 13 12:06:46 PM 2021] [Auto-Refresh] The tasks information could not be retrieved from the server. (Requiest failed for "https://contentfusion.nextgen.com/api/r ... 3727211956") Server response code: 504 (Gateway Timeout).
I've rebooted my PC and our tech has rebooted the Content Fusion server. I increased my Oxygen > Options > Preferences > Network Connection Settings > HTTP(S)/WebDAV > Read Timeout setting from the default of 20 seconds to 120 seconds. So far it appears that I'm the only one in our department who is affected. The tech has confirmed that it is not a firewall problem. What can I do to resolve this issue? Thanks.

Hi,

There was a performance issue on the Content Fusion server (when retreiving the details for a task with a lot of activity), that was fixed in version 3.0. What is your server version? To find the version open the Oxygen Content Fusion browser interface and after you login click on the last icon from the right top corner and choose About from the menu.

If this is the problem, there is an option in the Content Fusion Add-on options page, called "Skip activity checks on refresh tasks" that you can activate to skip the error.
To open the options page click on your username in the Content Fusion Tasks Manager view (right top corner) and choose "Preferences" from the menu that appears.
When this option is enabled, the number of changes and new comments information are not displayed anymore inside your tasks, and the "Get Changes" link will be available for every review task. Please try this and let us know if it solves your problem.

Best Regards,
Mihaela

Thanks, Mihaela. The Content Fusion server level is Oxygen Content Fusion v3.0, Build ID: 2020070214. I'll ask our tech to change the option that you mention, and will let you know if it helps.

Hi,

The option that I mentioned is included in the Oxygen Editor Preferences, in the "Plugins / Oxygen Content Fusion Connector" page.

Best regards,

Hi,

I am glad that the problem is fixed.
This problem was fixed on the Content Fusion server version 4.0 (not 3.0, how I said in a previous post) so, after you upgrade the server you can disable back the option.
Please let us know if you encounter any other problem.
