Validation errors after upgrade to Oxygen XML 24 Eclipse plugin

After upgrading to Oxygen 24 Eclipse plugin, validation failure errors appear for every file that I open. Errors did not appear for these files before upgrade. This occurs in the Eclipse plugin on both Windows and Mac but does not appear in either Author or Editor.

These are the error descriptions that appear in the Results pane:

Using the same kit from our website (both the zip and the "site" distribution we did not managed to reproduce the problem.
I think that somehow your installation got corrupted and these 2 files are damaged.
Please reconsider re-installing the Eclipse plugin.
In case the problem persists, we need a more complex example.

The confusing aspect is that we are seeing the exact same behavior on two different computers (Windows and Mac) and a virtual machine (Windows) running on Mac.

Uninstall and reinstall solved the problem on all three platforms. Thanks Mircea

For what its worth, my first try failed to remove the error. I think that was because I didn't uninstall the language pack too. When I also uninstalled that package and then reinstalled both packages the errors disappeared.

A schema validation error has returned. Here is the latest error description:

It showed up again on all three instances: Windows, Mac, and Windows vm running on Mac.

The only change of circumstances for these computers between the 'no message' state and the 'error message' state was a shutdown and startup of the computer.

To test whether the restart is the cause, I uninstalled the Oxygen plugin files again and reinstalled them again.

The error went away.

Then I restarted the computer and the error returned.

Could the issue be caused by the Oxygen Author/Editor full software loading paths when the computer starts; paths that are incompatible with the Oxygen Eclipse plugin?

Can you please open for editing in Oxygen the schema placed at "/Users/greg/.p2/pool/plugins/com.oxygenxml.editor_24.0.0.v2021101506/frameworks/dita/resources/dita-1.2-for-xslt2-mandatory.sch" on your computer and check its integrity ? Maybe run a validation ?
It seems that somehow the files get corrupted after restart.

Yes that doesn't validate, nor does sqf.sch. Both have the error I listed originally "Cannot find the declaration of element 'schema'."

These same validation errors occur (and reoccur after reinstalling) on two Windows computers and a Mac, so probably not a platform issue. I suspect the corruption comes in from the software, either Eclipse or Oxygen plug-in, or both.

Instead of putting the Oxygen plugins in a custom directory (/Users/greg/.p2/pool/plugins/com.oxygenxml.editor_24.0.0.v2021101506) try install them using the zip distribution and place the unpacked zips in the dropins folder of your Eclipse installation.
Also try to find out what other application is altering your directories from /Users/greg/.p2/pool.

Hi Mircea,

I don't think the plugins folder is really "custom", is it? My installs and updates have always used the default locations for Eclipse and Oxygen on Mac. Eclipse has automatically installed the Oxygen plugin in that location since I started using the software in October of 2019. On the other hand, the dropins folder is empty and would need to be manually populated.

My concern with putting the Oxygen files into the dropins folder is whether that will break updates for the Oxygen plugin.

Another piece of evidence for this issue is that one of my writers has the same plugin version of Oxygen as I do (in the plugins folder) but she has the previous version of Eclipse. She is not seeing the validation errors.

The Date Created and Date Modified for each of these files listed in the errors is the same, October 15, 2021:
/Users/greg/.p2/pool/plugins/com.oxygenxml.editor_24.0.0.v2021101506/frameworks/dita/resources/dita-1.2-for-xslt2-mandatory.sch
