How to edit Smithy files in OxygenXML?

More and more API definitions are defined using the "Smithy" specification. https://awslabs.github.io/smithy/index.html Is there a supported way to edit those kind of files?

Hello,

Smithy isn't XML-based, so it's unlikely to be supported by Oxygen in the short term.
Should I treat this as a feature request?

That would be sweet, as that way I don't need to open up a second editor to handle the files that I work with alongside my documentation files. Thanks!
