How to insert the metadata into index.html?
Post by Anna Green »
Hi,
I have a project in Oxygen XML Editor (v 21.0).
I upload the project to webhelp (DITA Map WebHelp Classic (deprecated)).
There is metadata on the main page.

After unloading the project, the metadata is unloaded to the HTML topics. It is not visible in the browser, but it is in HTML. For example, if you look at one of the topics of testtopic1.html:

But in index.html it is not unloaded. How can I insert the metadata in index.html?
Anywhere in the HTML structure. Is it possible? If so, how?

Re: How to insert the metadata into index.html?
Hello,
You need to customize the WebHelp Classic plugin in order to transfer the metadata information in the index.html page. You can do this by overriding the default XSLT templates that are used by the WebHelp transformations as described here: https://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/versions/ ... ssing.html
Please note that the WebHelp Classic Plugin has been removed from the current Oxygen distribution. We are currently focusing on improving the WebHelp Responsive Plugin which can be used to transform DITA content to HTML 5.
Regards,
Alin
