Open Web Author in a new window

Post by BB_[A] »

Working on a framework for a client who will be using a Web Author integration with a CMS. Because of the way Web Author is integrated with the CMS (using an iframe), Web Author's functionality is limited. To get around this, the vendor has indicated that other Web Author users had added a button on the toolbar that invokes https:// and pops Web Author into another browser window. This apparently gets around the limitations. I'm not seeing any obvious actions that I could use to accomplish this. Any suggestions?

Hello,
Could you elaborate on the limited functionality of the Web Author when embedded in an iframe ?
Are you trying to open the same document opened in the CMS in a separate window ?

Web Author validates, but clicking on a validation error does not move the cursor to the location of the error or allow use of QuickFixes for Schematron.

Hello,

This issue does not seem to be tied to the fact that the Web Author is inside an iframe.
Could you send us a sample document and schematron on which you reproduce this issue at support@oxygenxml.com to further investigate your issue?

If you want to confirm that the issue reproduces when the Web Author is not in an iframe you can use the browser's developer console to find the iframe the Web Author is embedded in and copy its URL to a separate tab. This could not work if the CMS integration is very tight and the Web Author functionality is determined by it being embedded in the iframe.

Michael
