I am trying to extend a framework (Options->Preferences->Document Type Association, select a framework, then Extend). This is on Oxygen XML 18.1.
What I am observing is that it is not possible to extend a framework that is already an extension of another framework. Is this a known limitation?
Thanks

Extending frameworks that are extensions
Re: Extending frameworks that are extensions
Hi Wolfgang,
Unfortunately this is a limitation we currently have. If at some point we remove the limitation I will update this thread but I cannot give a timeline for this because it's something which requires quite some work on our side.
As a possible workaround a ".framework" file is just an XML file so you could maybe try to consider generating such ".framework" files using stylesheets.

Radu

Re: Extending frameworks that are extensions
Hello,
Starting with Oxygen 23 you can extend a framework using a special customization script. This script allows you to extend extensions.
Best regards,
Alex
