Trademark in TOC

Hi,

We have a conref dita file with all the product names. The product name has a TM or R symbol. When the product name is referred in a ditamap, the symbols show up in the navigation and breadcrumb of Webhelp Responsive output.

Is there a way in Oxygen Author or Webhelp to not add the symbols from a ditamap?

Hi,

Just to make sure I have correctly understood the use-case, would you like to have a different topic title from the ditamap in the navigation and breadcrumb? If yes, you can achieve this by using a navigation title, this way you set a different topic title for the navigation comparing with the one from DITAMap Navigation title
If this is not the result you need, please provide us more details about your use-case (for example you can provide a snipped from your DITAMap).

Hi Ionela,

In the screenshot above, the name OneTest has a TM symbol. I don't want the TM symbol to appear in the navigation.

The TM symbol doesn't show in the topic title which is good. The TM symbol should only be visible in the content.

What can i do to ensure that the TM symbol does not appear in the navigation/breadcrumb?

Hi,

I think you can try to set the locktitle attribute on the DITA map.

Hi,

In Oxygen Author v23, the suggestion does not work. Can you let me know any alternative?

Please also consider the case when there is no navtitle attribute in a topicref in the ditamap.
