Prevent blank pages before chapters in PDF output

Hi,

when I convert a DITA-Document to PDF, is there a way to remove the blank pages right before a new chapter? I think this happens because it is configured to create a two page layout (the blank page only occurs when the chapter does not start on an uneven page number). Is there some kind of property that changes this behaviour?
