Suppressing auto-generated metadata

Post by 4everJang »

Hello fellow <oXygen/> users

I am preparing DITA materials for a demo. <oXygen/> automatically puts revision metadata into each topic, which is unwanted for my demo. I cannot find a way to switch off this behaviour. I know there are all kinds of extensions that can be programmed into the editor, but where are they located and how can I switch off this particular one?

Thanks in advance for a quick reply. The demo is in 2 days.

Never mind, I found the options in the preferences. I was looking for the wrong keyword :-) It is listed as DITA prolog updater and I was looking for metadata and critdates, i.e. the results of the updating process.

Hi Jang,

I'm glad you found out about what caused this.
For anybody else reading this thread, in the Oxygen Preferences->Plugins page there are subpages which allow configuring various settings for installed add-ons, including settings for the prolog updater add-on which automatically adds DITA prolog information containing author and modification date every time a topic or map gets saved.

Regards,
Radu
