DITA-OT PDF2 - Generate numbers before topic's title

Hello I want to add numbering before the title, in my PDF renderings. For example:
1.1 New section
1.1.2 Subsection
I tried the DITA-OT PDF2 - to generate numbers before topics. And enabled the following parameters:
Numbering before title
Numbering before title depth
I am not getting the desired output and Transformation failed (see attachment)

Re: DITA-OT PDF2 - Generate numbers before topic's title
Hi,
I just wanted to let you know that, in the DITA Map PDF - based on HTML5 & CSS transformation scenario, there is a predefined parameter (under the "Parameters" tab of the scenario configuration dialog), called "Numbering".
You could easily achieve what you need (deep numbering), just by setting that parameter's value to "deep / deep-chapter-scope / deep-chapter-scope-no-page-reset", depending on the specific numbering behavior you would need.
So, unless you have any specific reasons for using the PDF2 (XSLT-based) transformation scenario, you could give the modern CSS-based scenario a try and see if it suits your requirements.
For the DITA-OT PDF2 scenario, you could always address any questions you may have to the DITA Users Lists, as there are a lot of DITA experts that I am pretty sure they could help you with in-depth suggestions.
Best Regards,
Costin

Hi,
If you do not want to stitch to the CSS-based PDF publishing and are using this open source plugin we made available:
https://github.com/oxygenxml/dita-ot-numbering
I made a small change to one of the plugin's XSLTs to hopefully fix the problem so you can try to re-download and re-install it.
Regards,
Radu
