Localization of the Eclipse Oxygen Editor
Hi,
we use Oxygen Author eclipse plug-in (version 17) in our cms product. Now one of our customers would like to have a czech and a spanish translation of the UI.
So we tried to translate the language bundle plugin, but this did not work. Further research showed, that there are more texts in the UI than in those files in the language bundle.
After digging a little deeper, I found more text bundles in the oxygenAuthorEclipse.jar in the libs of the plugin. And a file that seems to be a mapping file between language name and iso code.
I added some czech translations and expanded the mapping file, but also this did not work.
So, what exactly do we need to do to translate the UI of the embedded Oxygen Editor into czech and spanish. The customer will do the heavy lifting of actually translating stuff.
Best Regards,
Stefan

Re: Localization of the Eclipse Oxygen Editor
Hello Stefan,
There is a topic in our user manual that explains how to localize the Oxygen XML Editor Eclipse plugin.
https://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/versions/ ... lugin.html
But not all the keys are in "plugin_<locale>.properties". Please send us an email on our support email address support@oxygenxml.com to give you more details. There are some files that need to be changed also in the frameworks. What framework you are using?
Best regards,
Octavian
