Marking Bookmap Content for Print Review
Post by devonapple »
I have a lengthy bookmap and want to be able to mark topics for "review" and then export only those topics to print.
Is there a way to print only content marked with a particular otherprops value like "review"?
Would I need to add a contrasting otherprops value to every other topic so the profiling knows to exclude them?
Is it easier to make a new bookmap for each content review instance?

Hi,
Indeed the default profiling filter state is to allow all topic references which are not marked with any profiling attribute.
So if you mark certain topic references with a certain profiling attribute value to signify they should be reviewed, you would also need to mark the other ones as well in order for the DITAVAL filter to exclude them.
Maybe indeed if you only review a couple of topics at a time you can create a new DITA Map which refers to them.
Problem with only a few topics getting published is that they may have links or content references to other topics and the publishing may break when such references become unresolved.
Regards,
Radu

Thank you! I was able to successfully make this happen. I had been trying to set things at the content and resource level, when I should have been setting it at the chapter level. It worked much better.
